The Parties Agree on Something That Matters. Will They Act?

H.R. 3493 Would Lower Rx Drug Prices

Overpriced Prescriptions Can Be Stopped

The prices Americans pay for brand-name drugs are 3+ times higher than consumers pay in other countries. Three times higher! And this is for drugs made by U.S. companies. That’s right, U.S. pharma charges way more to U.S. citizens than other nationals. WTF?

President Trump saw this as absurd. He wants a Most Favored Nation policy so Americans stop having to pay more than consumers in other countries. He tried in 2020 but the effort was blocked. Now he’s trying again. He signed a new order May 12, 2025 to make it happen but so far it has not been implemented.

A progressive democrat Ro Khanna thanked the President for his patriotic leadership and has tried to back him up. U.S. Representative Khanna understands that if Congress passes it into law, it can’t be stopped. So he introduced a bill in Congress to implement the President’s Executive Order.

Take Action: Call Congress

If you want to have lower prescription drug prices, then call your U.S. Representative in Congress and ask them (politely) to co-sponsor H.R. 3494. In addition to accomplishing something good for America, it will establish a precedent of common sense collaboration between the parties.
